Normal Weight
Normal
weight is something so relative that you can get lost trying to
find out how you can reach your personal optimal weight. The problem
is that television gives us all kinds of models that can make us
feel bad about how we look even if there is nothing wrong with our
weight.Commercials and fashion presentations show us skinny girls with their ribs coming out of their bodies and try to convince us that that is a sexy image and we should look up at it. How stupid is that? They should also say those poor girls are bulimics or anorexic and that something like that can kill us.
They should also tell us the models are lying when they say they eat all they want and rarely exercise; the truth is that they have gotten used to being starved and that they probably don’t even have the energy to work out any more since all they eat are vegetables and rice.
Also you never hear on TV about a box star that has to loose a great number of pounds just to fit into a category that he has to play in and they go through hell doing that. No, we don’t see this on TV, we only see what they want us to see and then we, normal people, who don’t have to attend modeling shows or boxing championship matches, have to look like them, walk like them and God knows what else.
Normal weight is almost as unique as every individual is.
There is this theory that everybody should only try to be himself;
that everyone should decide what is best for them, how they want
to dress, talk, look etc. There comes a time in life when it doesn’t
matter what your friends say if you think it is best for you to
do something and they don’t agree.
It is the same with loosing weight: you should only do it if you feel it is necessary for your health, for your lifestyle…for you. There is a very easy way to find out if you really should loose some weight, by calculating your BMI and you will find that there is a huge range, between a BMI of 18 and 26 that is considered to have the normal weight. If you don’t fit in there then you should try to loose a few pounds because it would be best for your health to do so.
Obesity is the second leading cause of avoidable deaths in the United States (tobacco is the foremost). People who are obese have much elevated risks of lots of serious health problems than non obese people.
A lot of people neglect breakfast, eat an insufficient lunch and end up starved at the end of the day. For the reason that they are so famished they eat while they are preparing dinner; eat dinner too quick; still experience hunger and whichever deprive themselves, or keep on snacking during the late afternoon.
You need to be conscious of what you are eating and how you are eating it. Keep in mind when you were so famished, you ate so quick the meal just disappeared or, you were busy staring at the TV and you ate the entire meal without being aware of it.
